He started crying as he narrated the fact that he mistook his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp as an intruder and shot her down last Valentines. However, prosecution in Pretoria Court alleges him for deliberately killing her.
In the case of being found guilty Mr. Pistorius will be sentenced imprisonment between 6 and 15 years according to South African law.
Mr. Pistorius also faces allegations of illegally possessing and firing a gun; however he denies both of them. Moreover in South Africa there are no juries at trial and his fortune will be directed by the judge, with two assistants.
On 14 February 2013, in the early hours of the day in order to cool his room he left his bed to bring in some fans that he had left outside, he narrated.
He further added that when he listened a bathroom window opening, he believed that it was an intruder who was trying to get in.
He said that after firing, he smashed the door of the toilet to get in and discovered his terrible mistake. Then the moment he became emotional, the judge ended the trial.
Previously, Mr. Pistorius explained how he and his girlfriend had spent a tranquil evening together on 13 February.
Reeva Steenkamp, a reality TV personality, model and graduate in law, was shot by at least three bullets whilst she was in bathroom.
