Harsh Storms: Tornadoes Kill Two and Harm 20 in a Deep South

Tornadoes taken two people into dead and about 20 other people were wounded by the powerful spring storm that rotate off as tornadoes and flooded parts of the Southeast on Monday.

In Mississippi the 9 years old girl was swept away and died after the storms was dropped around 7 inches of rain in the two days duration. The car that left the highway from rain- swollen and Jackson Creek in the Lilburn, which is located at northeast of Atlanta, was revealed with the driver dead indoors, according to the fire department report.

Early 10 to 15 people were wounded and almost about dozen of farm properties were damaged during the heavy rain storm that seeding the confirmed tornado in Beaufort County in eastern North Carolina, said by National Weather Service county officials.

The good news is none of the injuries was measured to be life-threatening for victims, the director of Emergency Management John Pack said to media reporters. Eight other people were wounded on early this Monday when the confirmed tornado touchdown into the town of Hot Coffee in southern Mississippi. In addition more than 70 homes were damaged, according to the National Weather Service statement.

All warnings had been canceled by the mid evening but the scattered tornado observation remained in effect during the Monday night in some parts of southern Georgia and Florida.
