Pfizer's CEO has battled off extreme feedback from MPs, saying the medications monster has acted with "respectability" and that grumblings are focused around a misconception of the certainties.
Ian Read was being addressed over the US company's proposed £63bn-in addition to the takeover of the UK's Astrazeneca.
The Business Committee is taking confirmation and will hear later from Business Secretary Vince Cable.
Lawmakers and researchers have cautioned a takeover could harm UK interests. Mr. Read rejected feedback that Pfizer had a poor track record of keeping up occupation and ventures, both in the UK and somewhere else.
Adrian Bailey, executive of the panel, asked Mr. Ready to react to claims that Pfizer was similar to a begging mantis.
