Monday, 21 April 2014
From California to Hawaii, a 16-year-old boy has lived on an unexpected journey concealed in the wheel well of a 5-hour long flight.
An official for Hawaiian Airlines stated that on Sunday morning, when the airlines team observed the boy after the plane had landed.
As he got off the plane he was followed up and stopped by the FBI who questioned him regarding of who he was and what he was doing on the plane’s wheel-well. He was also medically examined and checked out thoroughly for any suspicion equipment or device he might have, after a while he was declared just a ‘rascal’ child, as he was left alone by the agency.
The boy is stated that he had to have run away from home and leaped over a barrier at San Jose airport to reach the nearest plane.
About 73 had died and a 23 have survived, out of total 96 wheel-well getaways ever since from 1947 to 2012. The youngest of them was a 9 year old boy. An astonishing journey is also left in history, when a getaway traveler was hiding in the wheels pit and the plane reached an ice-scorching height of 39,000 ft.
One of the statesmen of the Hawaii Airlines stated that the main concern of the Airlines is the well-being of the young boy who got purged-out due to high altitude and plane’s swift speed, remained unconscious most of the time during the 5-hour-long journey.
